Introducing Winter and Christmas Signs!

Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner?  Soon we'll be sipping hot chocolate while decorating our tree and I cannot wait to listen to all the classic Christmas songs!

Christmas Sign with Let it snow lyrics

And while we're talking about Christmas songs, let me tell you why I chose those lyrics for my large (22"x16") Christmas sign.  I love snow and I love a white Christmas!  I love cuddling up by the fireplace while it's bitterly cold outside.  I could seriously watch snowfall all day!  Now anyone in agriculture (my husband) would be rolling their eyes at me because they don't enjoy being outside in it.  But I'm a stay-at-home mom and since I've no place to go I say let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

And I'm so excited about these cute little snowflake mini signs!  How perfect for the chippy white frames!  They are 11"x11" and they compliment the larger sized signs so well.  You could definitely layer them in front of each other on your shelf or mantel!

And what I love MOST about these signs is that you can leave them up all winter!! The quotes and snowflakes work great as Christmas decor but also for the whole winter season.  So you don't have to take them down in January or even February.  Since they have chippy white frames, the neutral look works with everyone's home too. So keep that in mind if you're thinking of Christmas gifts!  I don't think anyone would mind getting one of these cuties in their Secret Santa gift exchange!

Winter sign

I absolutely love this 16"x16" sign for winter!  Because we all know the empty feeling our house has after taking down the Christmas decorations right?  In a way, it feels a bit refreshing, but we feel like we should have some sort of seasonal decor in our home.  So keeping evergreen garlands up and having this winter sign works perfectly for that.

And during the long winter days, I love that quote to remind me that every season is special and beautiful in its own way.  Winter really is all about time at home.

And now for the Christmas signs!!  I personally love decorating with the classic colors of red and green so I was over the moon happy when I found some reclaimed beadboard and trim with those colors!  I've been saving that vintage wood for these Christmas signs for almost a year!

Handmade Christmas sign

And since I try to create unique pieces that you can't find anywhere else, I decided to make a sign with a little known verse from my favorite Christmas song.  We all know the lyrics to O Holy Night, but oftentimes the 3rd verse gets left out.  Many people might even know there is the 3rd verse.

"Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is Love and His gospel is Peace;
Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother,
And in his name all oppression shall cease,
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we;
Let all within us praise his Holy name!"

I wanted to make a sign that had those words because I think they're so beautiful and meaningful for us today.
